Children’s rights in focus today

Today, Sweden is celebrating the International Children’s Day. Institutions and organisations all over Sweden have drawn attention to children’s rights both nationally and global with special events. Here’s some good examples;

Kamratposten, the Swedish magazine for teenagers (over 100 yeard old), have written about children who have protested against things they feel are wrong.

Eleven of Sweden’s foremost children’s book illustrators, including Stina Wirsén and Sven Nordqvist, have developed imaginative bookends to the children’s library at Uppsala University Hospital.  

And there are many many more of course, such as Swedish National Radio, Stockholm City Mission, SOS Barnbyar etc…
